Your speculation knows no bounds.
However, you obviously miss the most important point of the commentary with regard to the police. The issue is not police presence for security. Perfectly acceptable. The issue is police checking the identification of those wishing to attend an HOA meeting. That should not be done by police officers. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: After publicizing that police are going to be checking for OP ID's, seems quite possible that a rowdy crowd was thwarted. Perhaps chilling effect, and perhaps a protective one. Such advance planning seems precautionary & wise, instead of waiting 'til things get ugly, get out of hand. Like putting life jackets on kids riding in our boat -- precautionary.
