Why would 600.3, J. of the ARC guidelines combine public office elections with private corporation as in OPA referendums, leaving out election for OPA directors?
I think you are again misinterpreting and assuming “J. Political Candidate and Referendum Signs” applies to both public office elections and OPA referendums. It does not. It refers to public office candidates and public referendums like the recent one about the use of county bond money. What is missing but needed is a section titled “OPA Board Candidate and Referendum Signs.” And both should use the state law language about 30 days prior to an election and 7 days after. The OPA election rules also have some text related to board candidate signs. However, thus is meaningless in my view since they are not incorporated into the Guidelines where they belong |
