There is definitely angst among employees every time there’s a new GM or the Board starts to bring up new ideas. The North Star program is a good example. Probably created a lot of turmoil for employees with no benefit. Changing the pool payment plans, again…do you know how many residents/owners go in to the membership office and scream at them as if they personally made the changes?
But yes, it’s on par with a government job with benefits, holidays, paid time off…who wouldn’t want that. My first year back full time I had 5 weeks paid time off between all the available time and a health plan that paid my deductible and all my families medical bills. Are current employees going to complain? Not likely since they don’t want to risk losing their job and benefits. Most municipalities have no trouble filling open positions. I loved my job when I was there, regretted that I felt I had to leave. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Beverly, what turmoil? This place is about as quiet as one can find. Most people don’t even know who is on the board and don’t care. ![]() Any job opening is snapped up immediately. Two or three disgruntled employees do not speak for all. |
