OPA needs people to actually dine at the yacht club.
A playground is not the first answer, it really starts with management. But appealing to a wider audience, and drawing of the families that live in and visit the neighborhood should be a priority. When every restaurant at the south gate has a wait for tables, but the YC doesn't, there is definitely a major problem. And a food truck doesn't fix that. Last summer there pushed my family away. In between showing up at 8pm on a weekend, and being told the menu was limited to only a few items when we had a party of 10, to my wife trying to order a shrimp salad sandwich from the bar on a family fun night, because she doesn't eat meat, and being told they couldn't do that sandwich after 5pm, it is very perplexing how they are trying to draw people in. We gave up, and now run the circuit of Marina Deck, Lazy Lizard, Fish Tales, Dead Freddies, and Ropewalk. All have playgrounds..... |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: OPA needs a playground at the Yacht Club like it needs a dozen more food trucks. |
