Sorry for the confusion in the names. And yes, six years is enough. The board has let all management get away lackadaisical habits, and has our HOA running as efficiently as most US government organizations. I wouldn't be surprised if somehow we had $1000 toilet seats too. I believe the problem is beyond the GM, but is something that the GM has certainly allowed to happen, and requires a board that is willing to tackle all aspects of the problem. As much as some would like to think that all things OP revolve around the GM, the reality is that problems exist both above and below him. If you don't tackle all of the problems, it will be very difficult to get to a solution. Brett |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: A quick clarification: It was Tom Herrick who mentioned the unneeded golf eqmt. No problem, as other folks have sometimes confused us. I'm Tom Hemmick. In the past the OP was again the gang that couldn't shoot straight. Golfing cost $$ fees needed corrections, as there were errors posted in some public promotional listings. Took several efforts by forum folks to get those fixed/ corrected. The OP administration was asleep/ unaware/ not on the ball. Seems just another example of starts with fixing the basics. (as you've said). So many basics are going awry, which has generated dissatisfaction. Raises the question whether six yrs of this administration's foibles are now pointing to the need for change at the top. I'm not sure that you're aware of so many many, many of these past foibles. This forum's archives could be a resource for building your background. Also you've said: If golf courses and restaurants around us can be highly successful . . , BUT there's been examples of failures of both some local golf courses and restaurants. OP's YC and golf have emulated the $$ losing examples rather than the successful one's. Again raises the very basic question whether six yrs of this administration is enough??
