Also, it seems the criteria is 50%(+) of a section's residents, thus differing from 50%(+) of those casting votes. A DR change requires more than 50% of association members (lots) in a section returning a document approving the change. Also there's quite a diversity in the neighborhoods in OP, so people's opinions would likely differ. Fencing would be totally visible 360 degrees in neighborhoods with few, if any trees, whereas in heavily wooded areas conditions are much different. And that's just one example of diversity influencing opinions. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: one set of Drs for all the Pines? It seems unlikely to happen, as the entire community has seldom tallied a 50%(+) vote to agree on most topics. (perhaps someone could remember this occurring, perhaps the rebuilt Community hall??) And that 50%(+) would presumably be needed in each section of OP. Also, it seems the criteria is 50%(+) of a section's residents, thus differing from 50%(+) of those casting votes. Thus voter apathy could be a limiting factor. Also there's quite a diversity in the neighborhoods in OP, so people's opinions would likely differ. And that's just one example of diversity influencing opinions. On the other hand, if residents in Terns Landing voted and kept the box trailer parking restriction, but at the same time those in some wooded section were more open, voting to let that occur, I'd see very little problem. Perhaps an inconvenience for the ECC, but not a big deal to cope with, IMO.
