Joe, Remember what I said a while back about how all of these % and cash returns from SLOT Scan change,is already happening via state legislature actions. We are still two years away from any money being realized and things will change even more as the state will continue to tap any resources they can. Now that some folks want to hold me accountable for my statement let's see what happens. Ray Ray, if you keep up with what is happening with the slots fiasco, you would know that the whole project is in dire straits. The site in Perryville up near the Pennsylvania border is the only one with FIRM plans. The only other site that seems secure is the one at Ocean Downs, and now that has been pushed back and the number of machines has been lowered. Rickman seems to be pulling back more and more. AND weren't you one of the ones who wanted the county to get all the money and you didn't think Ocean Pines should get a designated cut???? I hate the whole slot machine plan....but by gum, I wanted Ocean Pines to get part of the proceeds if we will have to live with a Casino Village next door. Your failure to stick up for our community on this issue appalled me! If you are planning to run for office, you need to review the statements you have made because people WILL CALL YOU ON THEM. Many things are written right here on the The Forum....so you should look through your old posts and copy them. It might save you some embarrassment. Nancy |
