The ARC, Walt Boge, Bill Nelson, Deano Macurdy, and Dave Ferguson, in their infinite wisdom,decided to make the homeowner PAINT the siding two different colors to match the two variations of sun fade! This was after I had showed the ARC committee twelve other same siding situations they had approved.

I have a neighbor who ran into the same problem with a wooden shed out back. [caught by ARC some years ago when they rode around the golf course checking for violations in rear yards] He was told to color match the vinyl siding on his home. He took a piece of his siding to Sherwin Williams and had them do a computer color match. After painting the shed he was told that the color still did not match and he needed to repaint but elected to do nothing and fortunately ARC did not follow up on their threat to make him paint the shed again.

I also thought that if one elected to paint brand new house siding that it could void the warranty.  I know that is the case with aluminum garage doors as I ran into that situation myself.
