You are missing the point. The other commissioners do not care about Ocean Pines. Believe me, I am well aware of that situation. Our 1 1/2 commissioners have some leverage with their 2 votes but it is still a struggle, especially if they don't have the expertise to strong arm their fellow Commissioners. I don't know about now but our two prior term local Commissioners had no love for each other so any joint cooperation was lacking. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I would suggest that the way to get the attention of any politician is with a campaign that involves "votes" or the lack thereof. I have been to a few of Judy Boggs town meetings which are basically love fests. When is the last time you have expressed your opinion at this forum? You are missing the point. The other commissioners do not care about Ocean Pines. The only way to get their attention is through the MONEY. If they don't see it, that will get their attention. We cannot influence them with votes because we can't vote for or against them. I have expressed my opinion at forums in the past and ,as you say, Judy's is basically a love feast. She is also just one of seven commissioners. |
As I have said before too many of our politicians are more interested in "being" than "doing".
It might be the place to start.
