In fact, I think they encouraged and welcomed any grassroots organization wishing to pursue that option, even if they don't believe there is much chance of success. As I said to Bill, "The role of the BOD is to look out for the best interest of the 8,400 plus property owners. I'm of the opinion that on this issue that wasn't done." I don't consider soliciting grassroots organization to assume the role and responsibilities of the BOD as being the proper way to do business. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Rick, After exploration the BOD announced they were against, or still against, OPA directly receiving slots revenue. Where did you see this...what I read is that they didn't think they could amend the legislation, not that they were against OPA directly receiving slots revenue (if I am wrong can you reference the post?). In fact, I think they encouraged and welcomed any grassroots organization wishing to pursue that option, even if they don't believe there is much chance of success. Ted |
