Members of the Ocean Pines Board of Directors, and Dave Ferguson, offer their opinions about the Town Hall meeting on space needs held on December 1, 2004 at the Yacht Club. Comments were made at the OPA regular meeting of 12/8/2004.
General Manager Dave Ferguson made what were perhaps the most cogent comments on the meeting and the entire idea of how the board can "sell" the idea of proceeding with a new community hall and other infrastructure additions. Essentially what Ferguson said was -- We need to find a way to have the community asking the board to do something rather than the board trying to convince the community we need something.
New board members were definitely more optimistic than those who have been on the board for a year or more.
