![]() ![]() Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Continuing Violation Msg# 1229981

I had to bypass the BOD members and go to the chief of operations and the GM.
Chief of Operations? Likely the proper path to change because the BOD really lack the experience and understanding of what CPI can actually do. Strange statement. Given the DRs allow only the Board of Directors to declare an association member in "continuing violation" and take away a member's voting rights, go on property and fix violations, etc., we should expect board members to understand the appropriateness of doing so, totally unrelated to any CPI violation notice. BTW I've cut/mowed the ditch of four properties at least three times this year because I'm tired of waiting on OPA. Who do I send the bill to? Yourself. Per the DRs, if you are talking about the area from the edge of the road pavement to the areas on your property called the easement. Sadly, with all this new churn of crack downs and distribution of violations the same .001% [80] homes still look as they are... Indeed. Takes forever to see action on a few really bad lots, and hardly any ever end up in court. Even if they end up in court and OPA wins, as is typical, some owners just violate again. OPA then just files another violation instead of going to the Judge and saying this owner violated your court order. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: "I would also suggest each board member visit each violation and view personally prior to the meeting before voting." Back in February of this year I asked select BOD members to see what I see based on a citation I received. I was going to show them an example of selective compliance, when one neighbor receives a citation and the other[s] don't. I got tired of emails and texts falling on deaf ears. I had to bypass the BOD members and go to the chief of operations and the GM. Likely the proper path to change because the BOD really lack the experience and understanding of what CPI can actually do. Sadly, with all this new churn of crack downs and distribution of violations the same .001% [80] homes still look as they are... Maybe the BOD can show us some before and afters. CPI has the pictures... BTW I've cut/mowed the ditch of four properties at least three times this year because I'm tired of waiting on OPA. Who do I send the bill to? |
