OPA Candidate Forum 2025 transcript

Hiring Touch of Italy to replace Matt Ortt Companies was a major event in Ocean Pines, arguably one of the most important events in OPA over the last year.

Linked above is the transcript of the recent Candidates Forum. One might reasonably expect all of the three incumbents to mention the accomplishment in their opening or closing remarks.

Nope. Not a peep. Like it never happened. Something to hide? Nah. Unimportant? Nah. Forgot about? Likely.

Who did mention the arrival of Touch of Italy?

Candidate Amy Peck.

She said:

"You have to be smart when you outsource and John Viola did an excellent job with the RFP (seeking bids to outsource OPA Food & Beverage Service). We are in much better financial position with the new Touch of Italy vendor. And, if you haven’t been there, it is one of Tim and my favorite restaurants and the food is really good and the menu is going to improve. So, I think that was a fantastic decision."
