I was somewhat skeptical about replacing Matt Ortt company. In our one experience at the yacht club for dinner since however I will say that our meal was excellent and the service was outstanding. Is pricing a tad bit better than previously? I don’t know about the inside layout of the main dining area?? Still seems funky to me. The design of that building did us no favors. And I didn’t like seeing the add on charge for use of a credit card. Also used the beach club and the inside does have a refreshed look. Was glad to see Linda back running that operation. | ||||||

Linked above is the transcript of the recent Candidates Forum. One might reasonably expect all of the three incumbents to mention the accomplishment in their opening or closing remarks. Nope. Not a peep. Like it never happened. Something to hide? Nah. Unimportant? Nah. Forgot about? Likely. Who did mention the arrival of Touch of Italy? Candidate Amy Peck. She said: "You have to be smart when you outsource and John Viola did an excellent job with the RFP (seeking bids to outsource OPA Food & Beverage Service). We are in much better financial position with the new Touch of Italy vendor. And, if you haven’t been there, it is one of Tim and my favorite restaurants and the food is really good and the menu is going to improve. So, I think that was a fantastic decision." |
