Joe,
I received an email from Steve Ransdell on 5/27/25 which, in response to your question, cited ARC Guidelines Section 600.2 and Section 600.5. I believe I also read on your forum a post from Linda Martin (??) which expanded to some degree by pointing out that previously a homeowner could have two signs if the homeowner's property backed up to a canal or the golf course. That apparently has changed in the newly passed ARC guidelines. While I have not reviewed all of the emails from Steve Ransdell since my application was certified, I believe this is the only one regarding ARC issues. I attended the meeting you refer to only briefly to participate in the order of ballot draw. While I did make one or two comments while there, my attention was not focused on the committee's consideration of other matters. My limited recollection was much of the discussion while I was there was recognizing that some decisions were tentative while awaiting to see if anyone else filed to run. It is my hope that every Ocean Pines lot owner votes in this election. Our election turnout over the last several years could be better. Please everyone, VOTE. Steve Jacobs |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Hi Steve. The Elections Committee is supposed to provide each candidate with specific information as to what the OPA governing documents allow in terms of board candidates and placement of board candidate signs on private lots. This was briefly discussed at the last Elections Committee meeting when the candidate draw was done, but confusing. As a candidate and sitting board member, have you received this SPECIFIC, DETAILED, information in writing from the Elections Committee? If so, can you provide a copy? I am asking because the current approved Guidelines appear to allow a lot owner only ONE sign per lot in addition to the lot number sign. Any other candidates (Lakernick, Rakowski, or Peck) have any info on current Guideline rules for candidte signs? |
