How does what you posted relate to what infrastructure is needed into the future?
Another bay? Better separate sleeping facilities for men and women, space to handle all paid personnel (likely coming at some point in the future) and all the other issues pointed out by the OPVFD when all this began with an engineering estimate of around $8 million?? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe: Based on the engineering report, and the following from The referendum material you posted a few minutes ago: “(Feb. 2, 2023) In 2022, the Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department (OPVFD) responded to 345 fire and 1,888 EMS calls. The department serves approximately 6,000 homes and numerous businesses along 79 miles of roadways. The firefighters and EMS staff serving Ocean Pines and the surrounding area do what they must to keep the community safe and they do it from a fire station that has been in operation since 1981.” Marty |
