Facts can be troubling. Let's review some more.

October 15, 2022. OPA board meeting. Steve Ransdell – 1st Term – Aquatics Committee
Dr. Horn moved to accept the appointment, Ms. Rakowski seconded, and the
appointment passed 6-0 (Mr. Daly unavailable).

On 11/3/24 I wrote: Ransdell resigned from Aquatics after insulting the Director of Aquatics, but strangely the board then rewarded him with appointment to the Elections Committee, and after Piatti left Ocean Pines to live closer to his daughter, the board appointed Ransdell chair of the Elections Committee.

Certainly appropriate for someone who was a strong supporter of electing candidates supported by the Get Involved Facebook group, the same board members who were then in the board majority and approving committee members.

What I did not write was that it seems an association member subsequently informed the Board of Directors that when the board appointed Ransdell to the Aquatics Committee, then appointed him to Elections, he was not an association member!

What did the board do upon confirming this rather startling information? Informed sources say Ransdell was not removed, rather offered support on how to become an association member.

Icing on the cake for why reasonable people might think Ransdell should not be on Elections Committe, much less chairing it?

When current board candidate Peck ran for election a few years ago the following exchange took place on OceanPinesForum.com:

Dave Walter wrote: "Vote NO for Peck and Wheatley. Neither should be on the board."

Steve Ransdell replied: "Definitely! Those two gotta go!"

I will use a separate post to address the fiasco of what took place at yesterday's Election Committee meeting that somehow managed to also be merged with the Candidate Draw.
