Spent about $1 million on irrigation. Total now looks to be $4 million. Spitballing - OPVFD has around $2 million. Expect final cost of work to be close to six million. Referendum amount should be just under $5 million for OPA, to be on safe side as no firm, complete construction drawings & cost are yet received. Safe side because if the final cost turns out to be more than $1 million over referendum amount, some more modern version of Marty Clarke will sue to stop the project. The steel is on the ground. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe: Ok, now please justify your $7 Million Dollar number? To the best of my knowledge we’ve already spent about a third of the irrigation expense, leaving approximate $2 Million, that leaves us with $5 Million. You keep referring to a new fire department that has yet to pass the necessary referendum and already has a sizable contribution from our tax dollars. Are you telling me you believe the membership will support tearing down the existing and functioning firehouse to spend over $5 Million on a new one? Marty |
