Ok, now please justify your $7 Million Dollar number? To the best of my knowledge we’ve already spent about a third of the irrigation expense, leaving approximate $2 Million, that leaves us with $5 Million. You keep referring to a new fire department that has yet to pass the necessary referendum and already has a sizable contribution from our tax dollars. Are you telling me you believe the membership will support tearing down the existing and functioning firehouse to spend over $5 Million on a new one? Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Please try to justify the increase in this year’s assessment after just finishing last year with a $1 Million Dollar surplus And for what? Just turn up the heat slowly? So, you see association members as stupid frogs who cannot see OPA is taking them to financial disaster.
Given the upcoming costs of perhaps up to $7 million or more for just the firehouse and golf irrigation, having some cash on hand might be viewed as good financial planning. Perhaps, that is how association members see it, as opposed to seeing themselves as stupid frogs being slowly boiled to death financially. |
