Any room we give pedestrians and bikers is a plus. I can't see anyone not wanting to make it safer... But I could be wrong.
No one is suggesting safer is not better. What some are suggesting is there is not enough room to do so and comply with Maryland law, parking, etc. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Maybe I should be more specific. When I walk out my driveway on the St Martins [THE TRUCK ROUTE] I measure the inbound lane to be 129.inches. Then I make a right face and walk towards Ocean Parkway and I measure again and I see 137 inches... Given the painted stripe plus or minus 4 inches, I see a foot. Any room we give pedestrians and bikers is a plus. I can't see anyone not wanting to make it safer... But I could be wrong. |
