The commissioners, with staff recommendations, will begin reviewing other options
"Other options". Words fraught with meaning, particularly for the folks here who have just completed their victory lap. A very premature victory lap IMHO since it is only the end of round 1. The fact of the matter is that the problems that plague Worcester's sewer/water situation are built in to a very flawed system based on a very flawed concept. Riddle, probably, and some of the other districts , certainly, will never be going concerns capable of breaking even. They will always need a bailout in one form or another. Commissioner Bertino et al just successfully thwarted one such bailout. But they are gonna keep coming. |
