![]() ![]() Section 5: OPA Board Subject: New OPA Lawyer? Msg# 1182979

Why do you always have to be so curt? People have differing opinions. Get over it.
I agree the lawyer should be local. I’ve not been a fan of the current lawyer. The board should do what’s best for the community. You act like Bright won the Janasek case. The board/insurance company backed down. The board PROBABLY lost the Farr case because they decided to hold another election. Not because the premise for disallowing Farr was incorrect. The judge used bad faith not what was initially done was wrong. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Not sure if you recall but I suggested OPA not use the insurance attorney in recent cases. wWould need to know more but it depends on the case and financial exposure. I also believe the OPA attorney works closely with the insurance attorney. Majority would want their buddy on board. I see that. So what? Who do you think hires the OPA attorney? Current was hired on advice of Brett Hill. I prefer a local attorney and you seem to overlook that the vast majority of OPA court actions are OPA as plaintiff. Elections have consequences. Get over it. |
