Lets perhaps get both --provided those lands would be used and useful in OP's future. Use our due diligence, examine the possibilities, and go in with open minds, and make reasonable decisions.
Wondering do those properties already have their own water/ sewer EDU's OP could be facing losing some land in the conversion to four lanes on Rte 589, in the future. So these lands could be an offset. Maybe buy none, buy one, or two. Do the studies. If each are less than $1 million there's no referendum problem. One million seems an OK referendum test. Just make sure they are not low lying lands, bringing with them future flooding problems, [ for example after some drive ways etc. paving may later occur.] PS If Steen were to buy the YMCA property, it could later become annexed to OP, anyhow. And he might get a bargain from them, due to that land's history. |
