For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I know. I was just curious. I’m always curious as to the motivations of people who run for the Board if they don’t even live here. If Farr didn’t live here full time, I’d be seriously questioning if all this is worth it for him. Though at this point, I’m starting to wonder if the juice is worth the squeeze at all. This lawsuit 1) Is going to cost the Pines money 2) Is going to cost Farr money 3) Is going to further disrupt an already disrupted election process, and draw it out for God knows how long 4) Is likely going to further divide and inflame a community that is already fairly divided and inflamed over this whole fiasco I mean…why? For a volunteer position on an HOA Board? Really…? Someone suggested that he just bow out and run again next year. He’ll likely win in a landslide, easily riding a tidal wave of goodwill after having to publicly endure all of this nonsense…and having made himself look great for having temporarily sacrificed his candidacy for the good of the community. Dragging this out with lawsuits could very easily be interpreted as vain and ego-driven. All for —and I can’t emphasize this enough— a volunteer seat on an HOA board of directors. |
