Joe, In general I agree with you and in fact I volunteered to Marty my willingness to file a complaint against him to get the ball rolling. He said it was already being addressed. At the same time, if you live next to or near a high strung neighbor from whom you fear retaliation, or if you are a part time resident and fear your property will be damaged while you are absent, how would you address naming the complainant? This is a little akin to whistleblower laws to protect those who might fear retaliation. Obviously, this - we hope - is the exception and not the rule. However, I think you have to error on the side of the complainant. Ted

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: but if he is in violation why would it matter who filed I believe OPA should tell an association member the name of a person who filed any complaint against their property. |
