Abent tried to obtain a variance to keep the box trailer on his property, but his request was denied. He said the Pines' Architectural Review Committee didn't understand the situation and considered the simulator Abent's hobby. "It's not just a hobby," Abent said. "If it was, I wouldn't have it in a trailer to take it around." ================================================ Hobby, schlobby.... makes no difference to me. Woh! Wait a minute: think I'll go into the Porta-Potty Cleanout business and bring my 'storage unit' home with me! |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I'd like to know if anyone who has seen the Times and the photo would want a trailer such as that located permanently next to their home. For those who haven't seen it. The article says the resident "...has been battling Ocean Pines officials over the trailer since 2006." And I thought the expression "lower, slower" only referred to Sussex County, DE. Four years and still no decision. It's a good thing he wasn't building a porch. Read the last comment at the end of the article. Maybe this guy should run for the BOD? |
