I certainly think OPA should be involved with the county. However, I am not overly optimistic that this will bring majority votes for issues OPA seeks to have approved, or disapproved. Can OPA make campaign contributions? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Can you provide some info on just how you believe the OPA board can change the attitude of a majority of commissioners to start spending money in this area for things like a senior center or rec center, etc? Just like you eat an elephant: one bite at a time. We haven't even laid out the tablecloth. Listen, this needs us building credibility, working with the staff, participating in all activities any way related to our interests, lots of things. Even the last Board sent a member to the county meetings some time. What do we do? Had we worked with them 15 years ago, would we be in the situation we are now? Maybe, but I like your WE SHOULD AT LEAST ASK approach. Let's start now. Or do we focus on just inside OPA boundaries? |
