I would suggest that the way to get the attention of any politician is with a campaign that involves "votes" or the lack thereof. I have been to a few of Judy Boggs town meetings which are basically love fests. Jack, unfortunately those who live in OP can only vote for two commissioners of seven (total OP vote for one and less than 50% OP vote for the other.) Then it must also be noted less that 50% of lot owners actually can vote in Worcester County. The remaining five commissioners receive no votes from OP; that's why I interested in how OP can influence the other five. Another unfortunate thing is the current two commissioners from this area do not have agreat deal of influence with the other five. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I know this is a radical idea but it will get their attention. BUT, does the Ocean Pines community have the guts to carry out a proposal like this?? It may be radical but it is not new. These boycott ideas have never worked and I doubt ever will. It goes to human nature and you will need a psychologist to explain in more detail. Remember the attempted boycott of Exxon and currently Chevron due to the Chavez connection? Even the Baptists, with all their organization, could not pull off a boycott of Disney World. I would suggest that the way to get the attention of any politician is with a campaign that involves "votes" or the lack thereof.
