I think 39 or 40 years is a decent amount of time for a community to be considered "permanent" don't you? If OP folks participated in local government more actively, they would be accepted more readily. The Eastern Shore is not Silver Spring it is .....well, the Eastern Shore. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: There is no doubt we need to be more proactive about "asking", however, here on the Eastern Shore the good ole boy network is still alive and well. I just have always sensed that Berlin, Ocean City, Snow Hill, Pocomoke are viewed as the "locals" and Ocean Pines are the "come heres". I agree. BUT... Ocean Pines folks starting "coming here" in the spring of 1969 and a few bought property in the fall of 1968.
