I know they are acting in what they believe to be in the best interest of Ocean Pines and have the best interests of OPA at heart. I have absolutely no doubt they are acting in what they believe are the best interests of the community. I consider all of the three friends, especially Rakow. We agree on a great deal more than we disagree on. However, we have a fundamental disagreement on this issue Dan stachurski, Heather Cook, Glenn Duffy, etc. also had the best interests iof the community at heart. That didn't stop Rakow, Zawacki, Clarke, etc from lambasting their actions or inaction on any given issue. Ted, it is called politics; you know, that's the dirty word Marty says he has nothing to do with, despite running for an election. Everything is politics. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Nancy, I trust you, Ed and others will run for Board when the time comes. Finding a candidate to meet all of the diverse expectations as well as being able to predict unknown future issues and their positions on same will be interesting to watch. Good luck! I don't always agree with Marty and Bill, and have stated same when at odds. However, I know they are acting in what they believe to be in the best interest of Ocean Pines and have the best interests of OPA at heart. Bill and Marty have continued to engage forum members in "discussions" on issues where previous Boards and at least one former frequent poster and current prominent OPA leader just ignores the forum. Like them or not, agree with them or not, they are staying engaged. I am sure they are wondering if, "No good deed goes unpunished" when they continue to post. What I see here is a disagreement in philosophy and approach. Bill and Marty are not even in agreement on the nuances regarding this current issue. However, Bill, Reid and Les have made a recommendation, encouraged those who want more action to step forward, and don't appear to be wavering under intense criticism. Time to move forward from this issue and beat them up over the CC or budget next Wednesday! Ted
