I know they are acting in what they believe to be in the best interest of Ocean Pines ....... That's the same excuse people frequently used when discussing the actions of the prior BOD. Using that excuse time after time means one could do, or not do, anything under the guise of "acting in what they believe to be the best interest of Ocean Pines." Perhaps the BOD can consider Olson's $30 assessment increase and the B&FC's $15 bulkhead increase to be in the best interest of Ocean Pines and just approve those increases. Don't hold anyone responsible or accountable because they are always acting in what they believe to be in the best interest of Ocean Pines. Barf! |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Nancy, I trust you, Ed and others will run for Board when the time comes. Finding a candidate to meet all of the diverse expectations as well as being able to predict unknown future issues and their positions on same will be interesting to watch. Good luck! I don't always agree with Marty and Bill, and have stated same when at odds. However, I know they are acting in what they believe to be in the best interest of Ocean Pines and have the best interests of OPA at heart. Bill and Marty have continued to engage forum members in "discussions" on issues where previous Boards and at least one former frequent poster and current prominent OPA leader just ignores the forum. Like them or not, agree with them or not, they are staying engaged. I am sure they are wondering if, "No good deed goes unpunished" when they continue to post. What I see here is a disagreement in philosophy and approach. Bill and Marty are not even in agreement on the nuances regarding this current issue. However, Bill, Reid and Les have made a recommendation, encouraged those who want more action to step forward, and don't appear to be wavering under intense criticism. Time to move forward from this issue and beat them up over the CC or budget next Wednesday! Ted
