It might be because the board made this decision in private, via phone calls or emails. Actually, the board met on Jan 16 and could have discussed this openly, but did not.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Over these 125 posts, has any poster questioned why it took from 1/14 to 1/22 for the OPA to release the news about its action on the "slots issue"?
