Can we agree now that a dedicated Board Meeting Room at the Golf Club or anywhere else is off the table?
Unfortunately, no. In my opinion, OPA NEEDS a dedicated board room. This room would be only for board meetings, similar to what the County Commissioners have. It should have a proper sound system so all can hear. It should have a video recording system like at the county. It should have bench seats. In the greater, long term interests of the Ocean Pines Association, it is the right thing to do. Objections over cost are petty, given OPA is in perpetuity and one of the largest HOAs in Maryland, and to some extent objections are rooted in politics. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Congrats to all those re-elected. Even the one who is choosing to ignore me at the moment. Very poor showing of resident voting and poor attendance at the annual meeting. Can we agree now that a dedicated Board Meeting Room at the Golf Club or anywhere else is off the table? Does the OPA have an obligation or a desire to create a strategic plan to increase resident election participation? |
