For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The decision on which questions is select really is nothing because we had I think one time 14 or 15 questions that were submitted by HOA members and we labeled all of them we numbered all of them and we put them in the hat and we had compliments afterwards of people coming up and telling us hey that was my question. Thanks for asking it That’s the process. This is not a secret secret thing that we’re creating some kind of crazy stuff behind the scenes it’s just simply an Election process Tom, you make me chuckle. The Committee went into closed session before even asking association members to submit questions. How could the committee discuss questions from association members that the committee did not have? and the three questions that are asked of all candidates that they have to respond to and then those answers are printed on the candidate form sheets that are mailed to every HOA member and there’s only three questions and it’s the same three questions for all the candidates that’s what’s published. Gosh, thanks for that breaking news. How, pray tell, could the answers to questions be printed and mailed with the ballots if the candidates were not given the questions? The foreign questions are kept secret until the day of the forum to ensure that somebody doesn’t gain the system as a candidate and come up with some crazy stuff you know beforehand it’s the seat spontaneity. It’s the honesty of answering a question reacting to the audience ..
From my perspective, I am not particularly interested in how a candidate responds to "secret" questions. First of all, no board members should be casting votes on any issue without doing the proper research on the issue at hand. Seat-of-the-pants board decisions are not what association members should expect. That said, spontaneous questions can indicate how candidates think on their feet - even if they might say they cannot answer without some research. Finallly, only half of association members vote, posibly less. I suspect the vast majority of those who vote cast their vote based on the material (written and image |
