Today's Board meeting has a resolution to move $1 million from retained earnings into replacement reserve to be used toward OPA funding of the construction of the southside firehouse up to $2.9 million plus 10% contingency for a total of around $3.2 million.
OPA should not go to referendum asking for only $3.2 million. There are as yet no completed construction drawings. Bids on those when completed????? I would set the OPA referendum at "not to exceed $5 million" ($4.9 |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Odds are association members will approve a coming referendum to authorize the board to spend as much as $5 million on the new/renovated south-side fire station.
