You failed to mention the payment is 500K a year. Yet you imply the amount is insufficient.
The amount was in the message I replied to. Are you following the discussion carefully? The amount may or may not be fair. We have no idea if it is fair or not. What is difficult to understand about that comment. Do you know if it is fair or not? I have asked board members, as well as county commissioners, if the payment is fair - no one knows. Why shouldn't they? Riddle is a cash cow for the county. there are approx. 700 homes there paying between 2500-4500 in property taxes. It is not unreasonable to expect drinkable water and flush able toilets in return. Why shouldn't the county take General Funds and just offset losses in the Glen Riddle service area? Well, for starters, it is generally against county code. The county claims an exception because the County caused the problem. Riddle is a cash cow at 700 homes you say? Ocean Pines service area represents 10,000 homes. Maybe others follow your logic but I have no idea what you are talking about. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Glen Riddle is paying the OP service area to treat sewage trucked from Glen Riddle to OP. We have no idea if the payment amount is fair. You failed to mention the payment is 500K a year. Yet you imply the amount is insufficient.
