(Stop Taxing Ocean Pines) representative Michael Borland (left)presents petition containing over 900 lot owner signatures to OPA Board Secretary Reid Sterrett which "demands that the Board of Directors 'cease and desist with construction' until they have a referendum for the approval of the $1,472,794 they are over budget for the previously approved $3.9 million anticipated cost published in the last referendum. That amount exceeds the allowable single capital expenditure as defined in the by laws at Section 5.14 Powers without the membership approval by referendum." Filed at 5 P.M. 1/3/2007.  |
