Joe, for public elections, many states do have on line voting for certain classes of voters (including overseas military and those with disabilities). More relevant though, on line voting is common among community associations and corporations holding annual elections and voting. And even where paper is used, electronics and computers do the scanning and counting and other things. I'm not weighing in on the Board level policy decision here, but just pointing out that your adherence to paper only, right or wrong, is not a prevailing or forward looking school of thought. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Time to get out of the stone age of only paper ballots Would you also suggest states should get out of the stone age and move to allow INTERNET voting in national elections? Paper ballots can be recounted in the event of a tie or very close vote. INTERNET ballots cannot be verified or checked in any way. You and Amy Peck like INTERNET voting. I like paper. |
