To the best of my knowledge wasn’t it Amy Peck with others who started this “sky is falling” scenario and caused our election to change from a simple and fail proof counting of paper ballots to where we are now?
If you are talking about INTERNET voting, Peck did/does support that. The impetus for INTERNET voting came from the Communications Committee. Peck was not a member, as I recall. ALL board members have supported INTERNET voting since it was initiated a few years ago. Yet you choose to publicly blame Amy Peck. Curious. I have consistently opposed INTERNET voting. Peck was appointed as a board member to fill an empty seat. She was on the board when Farr's case was in court. Since then, a couple of board members supported by the Get Involved Facebook group have been obsessed with every word she writes. Peck and those Get Involved people are political enemies - to put it mildly - as you and many who follow OPA politics know. Why some sitting board members are totally obsessed with almost every comment she makes is beyond me. They won. She lost. Marty, how do you explain Rick Farr writing publicly that MK Elections informed him and/or others that a former board member voted twice? That doesn't bother you apparently, but Peck's support of INTERNET voting you describe as the "sky is falling." Finally, why are you, OPA's fiscal watchdog, not upset that Farr's motion is to spend $9,500 more than the next qualified low bidder after ACE? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe: ”On this particular issue, Peck should be thanked not criticized“ You can’t be serious? To the best of my knowledge wasn’t it Amy Peck with others who started this “sky is falling” scenario and caused our election to change from a simple and fail proof counting of paper ballots to where we are now? God bless the Internet. Marty |
