| You also left off the fact that many schools even here n the local area have new students who do not speak English and/or very rudimentary English. This adds a tremendous strain to the local educational resources. I will just leave it at that. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It's certainly a mix of things from complete negligence to holding down multiple jobs. Some of these kids will thrive in a structured environment. It takes a strong teacher to get through to them in a meaningful way, but with increased class sizes, that makes it a near impossibility for any teacher. Just for reference if anyone else is reading. Maryland ranks 3rd to 5th in the nation depending on your metrics. What Worcester county is achieving is something to be proud of. |
