Come on! This child is dead, have a bit of empathy, and stop trying to cast blame on the victim.
The unfortunate thing here is much of the invective addressed toward the dead child and the family seems to be politically motivated, primarily over the resultant misguided efforts of some individuals to boycott Ortt restaurants and the equally misguided reaction of some OPA board members in response. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: From everything I have heard and read, the 14 year old wanted to take a picture of the deer head (which was erected on a telephone pole as some sort of a memorial?) and was walking back to the car his sister was driving When he was hit. End of story….More to the point, what possible difference does it make to this situation if the child had a beer or 2 before being hit and killed by a driver who chose to leave the scene. Come on! This child is dead, have a bit of empathy, and stop trying to cast blame on the victim. |
