Joe, I was not forced or encouraged to resign by the board or Election Committee
I never wrote that you were forced or encouraged to resign. You chose to announce your resignation in a post here. In that post you included the following to indicate committee involvement in some manner: “this action was presented to me by election committee.” I wrote: “He announced his resignation publicly, indicating it was due to the influence of the Elections Committee and their concern about his involvement on the subject Facebook site.” Are you now saying the committee was not concerned and the committee’s concern had no influence on your decision to resign? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe, I was not forced or encouraged to resign by the board or Election Committee.. I did that after it was bought to my attention that I “liked “ a post by Kelly that mentioned a terse interaction with Amy at the end of a post which I didn’t read the first time . the first section of the post he wrote about the positive relations in the community ( I liked that section,), it was my error by not noticing the ” see more” icon that still had another Par#. At which point I un-liked the post - Also , how do you know and what actions indicate I‘m a strong supporter of board of directors ? I treat all members of the board and staff with respect and cordiality! I stand by my actions on the election committee and the model procedures developed over the last two years in which the election committee members have no direct hands on activities counting ballots . The procedures establish time lines , contracts for mailing ballots to each lot owner ( no more confusing weighted ballots )and ensuring a sole source operator for all ballot processes . Last year was a reset - ( abet with a mailing error) which in fact produced an increase in returned ballots . this year the addition of electronic balloting will be added back and the goal is to exceed last year’s ballot totals .. Because of my error in failing to read the entire post by Kelly I felt the need to resign to ensure continued unbiased efforts of the election committee and election of new board members for 2024 This nic picking ends NOW ! |
