Only one “liked” post? That alone would cause a former board president to become involved and express concern about your activity on the Facebook site? I treat all members of the board and staff with respect and cordiality! Who said otherwise? I stand by my actions on the election committee and the model procedures developed over the last two years in which the election committee members have no direct hands on activities counting ballots . The Election Committee not counting ballots is not something started last year. For 20 years or so the ballot counting was done by a contractor operating a Scantron device under supervision of the Committee. Two years ago the Committee decided to do the counting itself with some new scanner. It was a disaster. Moving the operation to the west coast was a disaster. This year we go to Pittsburgh. Also , how do you know and what actions indicate I‘m a strong supporter of board of directors ? My impression is you are or were a strong supporter of the board. Are you saying you do not support the board of directors? Let me ask you a question. Would you agree that the Facebook site in question contained many crude and disgusting personal attacks over many months on three or more women, two of whom are now candidates for a board election supervised by members of the elections Committee? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe, I was not forced or encouraged to resign by the board or Election Committee.. I did that after it was bought to my attention that I “liked “ a post by Kelly that mentioned a terse interaction with Amy at the end of a post which I didn’t read the first time . the first section of the post he wrote about the positive relations in the community ( I liked that section,), it was my error by not noticing the ” see more” icon that still had another Par#. At which point I un-liked the post - Also , how do you know and what actions indicate I‘m a strong supporter of board of directors ? I treat all members of the board and staff with respect and cordiality! I stand by my actions on the election committee and the model procedures developed over the last two years in which the election committee members have no direct hands on activities counting ballots . The procedures establish time lines , contracts for mailing ballots to each lot owner ( no more confusing weighted ballots )and ensuring a sole source operator for all ballot processes . Last year was a reset - ( abet with a mailing error) which in fact produced an increase in returned ballots . this year the addition of electronic balloting will be added back and the goal is to exceed last year’s ballot totals .. Because of my error in failing to read the entire post by Kelly I felt the need to resign to ensure continued unbiased efforts of the election committee and election of new board members for 2024 This nic picking ends NOW ! |
