I’m not a pickeballer or a golfer. I’m just curious about membership numbers on both and the actual amount spent on each as well.
Based on your prior posts to this forum it appears you have more than a passing interest in golf and not from a positive aspect. By the way, golf had a $319,595 operational profit in the last audited report. This year for golf? YTD Net operating shows $435,687 + compared to $372,333 + at the same time last year. Does golf have as many memberships as racquet sports? No, and never will. Association members should not focus on the number of memberships but on the bottom line. Pickleball does very well from a net operating standpoint, showing a current year to date net of $57,995 but that is offset by losses in tennis and platform tennis. It is difficult to make any meaningful comparison between any racquest sport and golf. Golf net is seven or eight times more than pickleball alone. Not to mention the incredible value the course itself adds to property values, something racquet sports can never begin to approach. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I’m not a pickeballer or a golfer. I’m just curious about membership numbers on both and the actual amount spent on each as well. Do you have those numbers? |
