Accusations??? The statement was “we are concerned that the building may not be safe due to a potential mold/mildew issue behind the walls”.
Amy, Russell came to a public meeting of the OPA Board of Directors and made public comments stating an employee quit after getting sick due to mold in the building. No proof. Just speculation. Speculation designed and intended to produce a response from the Board of Directors for the group's own political purposes. once again the Committee made it very clear that they did not recommend in February, nor do they now, only having the option to join an all inclusive three sport membership. So..., where is the audio tape of the February meeting? Look, those pickleballers can ask the board for whatever they want but the board sets rates and policy for all amenities. The pickleballers ridiculous obsession with percentage increases as opposed to actual dollars was comical. The rate increase amounted to a little over the cost of one cup of coffee a week. One would think OPA was stealing their children's inheritance. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Accusations??? The statement was “we are concerned that the building may not be safe due to a potential mold/mildew issue behind the walls”. Considering the building is serviced by three different HVAC units, the age of the structure, our high humidity, and issues other buildings have had in the past, OPA is wise to check this out before spending money in renovations. Shutting down the entire racquet center to investigate could be viewed as a retaliatory action given that an outside attendant could be set up as has been done many times in the past.
As for misinformation, there appears to be a fair share of it. Apparently, at the March RSAC meeting, with Doug Parks and Rick Farr in attendance, once again the Committee made it very clear that they did not recommend in February, nor do they now, only having the option to join an all inclusive three sport membership. |
