For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Probably, although cigarettes at high altitude always tasted crappy. Mixed with the mess hall coffee that was at least 12 hours old made for excellent cuisine. 
One of the pilots was talking on interphone one day and started to scream. The routine was to throw the cigarette butt into the paper cup after it was drained. The mess hall had just switched to those newfangled styrofoam cups. The lit butt went through the cup and burned through his flight suit. Livened up the conversation. Copilot, you've got the aircraft !!! Anybody got some water?? |
