I am not negative on pickleball, just negative on pickleballers who have been whining since the sport was first established in Ocean Pines.  Association members contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to initiate a new pickleball amenity. No matter what OPA did for the pickleballers, it was never enough.

The whining continues over a membership increase of less than a dollar a week, 40 cents a week for a single. Not to mention the muttering in the Town Hall meeting about where pickleball is free.

One minor example is the manager who walked off the job and badmouthed OPA management and wanted a fence around the pickleball courts to keep out cheaters. The pickleballers demanded OPA give the man whatever he wanted. He was indispensable. He was wonderful.

He got the fence and a Director title. Weeks later he left for Ocean City.

The fence wasn't high enough to keep out the cheating pickleballers, folks who are not Racket Sport members, and, quite possibly, many may not even own property in Ocean Pines.

So, after all the weeping and wailing, gnashing of teeth, and your comments about me, are you personally opposed to the pickleball membership rate increases?
