| I am just suggesting that if you want an adequate number of lifeguards, then the pay must be competitive, and OP have the reputation of ensuring the lifeguards the hours they need to make it profitable for them to commit to OP. Food for thought. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Jenna, I am unaware of the details but it sounds like you are referencing an anecdotal experience. It could well be that the number of lifeguards required to keep a particular pool open were not available. One needs to know the total number of guards available on any given day and the number of guards required on any given day to meet state law. Also, the number of guards required will vary with how many people show up at the pool. It must be quite a juggling act for management of five pools. |
