When did the KC135 replace the KC97?  I'm thinking around the time of the B52 coming on line?

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I've got tons of time as a navigator on the tanker KC 97 pictured at the top of that nose art (and its predecessor, the cargo C97).  Solid Boeing aircraft
