![]() ![]() Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Election Conspiracy? Msg# 1183824

Spot on! The entire problem goes away when a single ballot for each lot is sent out, you own 3 lots, you get 3 ballots, simple, so simple even the BOD can understand it!
I still don't understand why things were changed to begin with? If it ain't broke, don't fix it! |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: There is one factual piece of election 2022 information -- and it has nothing to do with any conspiracy. Frank Daly again brought it up at the last board meeting. He asked how many LOTS voted in the last election. The FACT is, we do not know! OPA can indeed determine how many lots were represented by returned ballots by checking the code information on the returned ballot envelopes. Neither the board nor the Election Committee seems interested in knowing how many lots in returned ballots were not counted due to a single ballot representing multiple lots owned by one association member because the ballot was counted as a single lot, even if it represented multiple lots. We can never know how those uncounted lots voted, but we can know how many lots were not counted. Why is the board and election committee reluctant to know how many lot ballots were not counted? The answer is politics. With the third open board seat decided by around 13 votes, if a large number of lots were not counted it could have impacted the result and changed the majority control on the board. While knowing how many lots were not counted will not change the outcome at this point in time, association members at least have a right to know how many lots were not counted. Listening to the board discussion last Saturday, it seems clear not all board members even understand what happened. Regardless, this notion that there was some sort of conspiracy to "rig" the election is utter nonsense. |
